Landlords will have to pay more to register themselves and their properties following new measures introduced by the Scottish Government
Following a public consultation, ministers have announced the first rise in fees since the system was introduced in 2006.
From June 11, the principal fee will increase from £55 to £65, the property fee from £11 to £15 and the additional fee (payable for late registrations after two reminders have been sent to the landlord by the local authority) from £110 to £130.
From next year all fees will automatically increase on 1 April, in line with Consumer Prices Index (CPI).
